Cherokee Village

CHEROKEE VILLAGE is the first master planned community developed in Arkansas and one of the first of its kind in the nation. The Village encompasses 13,000 acres and includes some 3,000 homes, a 24-7 emergency room (with helipad), full-time police department, full-time fire department housed in four fire stations, an ambulance station, airport with a 5,200-foot airstrip, five churches, scenic South Fork River, seven lakes, two 18-hole golf courses, three recreation centers, tennis courts, RV park & campground, trails, parks, two banks and a variety of commercial businesses.

Neighboring towns of Hardy, Highland and Ash Flat combine with Cherokee Village to create a single economy that includes a vibrant public school district and local community college, Ozarka College. Neighboring Ash Flat is the county seat of Sharp County.

This quiet rural area has a low crime rate and has been honored with the “Arkansas Safest City Award”. This city has an excellent future with everything in place to become the next “In Place” to live, recreate, or retire.
