Some of the best golf in the region can be found locally in Cherokee Village and Horseshoe Bend.
There are ten Arkansas Golf courses on the Pro Tour which are rated between 67.1 and 71.7, with a slope between 115 and 137. Both the North and South Golf courses in Cherokee Village, and Turkey Mountain in Horseshoe Bend, are just as challenging as these Arkansas Pro Tour courses, rated between 69.5 and 72.2, with a slope of 115 to 130. But they’re not as well known. They’re beautifully maintained. And our membership loves it that way! Members can usually just walk on the course anytime, weekends included, without reservations. Easy access and tough greens is why Cherokee Village golfers regularly win state and regional championships in all categories. Even better, Green fees for Cherokee Village ($40 visitors/$20 owners) are the cheapest in the state! The South Course at Cherokee Village has been ranked among “the top courses in Arkansas”. The, older, North Course is considered a more natural golf setting with elevated greens, springs and river challenges.
Recent reviews about Turkey Mountain call it “a peaceful wonderful course”! PGA Pro Chuck McNeight is on hand for lessons and pointers. All of the courses are members of PGA of America and Arkansas State Golf Association and host many popular tournaments.
